Now that Max is nearly 5 months old, we are going to experiment with introducing solid foods. This was our first attempt. Max tried some sweet potato at the Thanksgiving dinner table and in front of an audience of 13. I think he would say that it's an acquired taste; he didn't seem enamored of the experience. 

Nap with daddy

Max had a cold last week and was waking up about every hour or two, which has underscored how good we have normally have it in the sleep department. Daddies and baby have been tired, but we were all out at Max's grandparents' house for Thanksgiving, so there was ample opportunity for naps and free babysitting. Here, Jeff took Max into the bed so that he could more comfortably hold the pacifier in Max's mouth to keep him asleep, and in hopes that they could both get a nap in.

4 Months Old

Max is four months old as of November 2. We took him to the pediatrician this week and he is doing great by all measures -- he's off the charts on length, 75th percentile on weight and he took his shots with characteristic sangfroid.

He has saliva constantly dripping from his chin these days.

I have my daddies wrapped around my little fingers already.
