Three Months

Max celebrated his 12 week birthday on Saturday, Jeff and I our twelfth anniversary on Sunday. Each week took a year of preparation. From here on, we're in trouble.

Today we took Max to the pediatrician for his 3 month check up. He's off the charts on length -- 100th plus percentile at 25.5 inches, and weighs 14lbs, 10 oz. That puts him in the 85th percentile for weight. He's thriving. Here is a little video from play time this afternoon. He's finding his voice and hands.

We are flying to Seattle on Saturday and on Tuesday from there to California for visits to family and friends. Jeff will join us in Seattle on Sunday and I am hoping desperately that Max decides it would be a great idea to sleep and coo all the way from New York to Seattle.

Play hard, sleep hard (hopefully)

Max rests after giving his toys a major workout. He's been sleeping through the night consistently from 8pm to around 6:30am, eats like a champ and is providing heaps of smiles and cuteness. What a mensch! He'll be 12 weeks old on Saturday already. How did that happen!

Could he, leica, be any cuter?

Alicia is an incredibly talented photographer, one of many things at which she is hugely skilled. She took beautiful photos during her visit last weekend and there are several available at the link below:

Impossible to choose, but I really love these:

A big round of applause please for Max, . . .

. . . who slept from 8pm to 6:15am this morning. Hard to imagine, but his daddies are even more in love with their little boy today than they were last night. Bravo bambino. Encore! Encore!

Accepting a laudatory pat on the head from daddy.

Max & Sophia - reaching out

We've come a long way from the initial play date when Max and Sophia slept the whole time.

In their own worlds . . .
Sensing cuteness nearby . . .
Contact . . .

Holding hands . . .

Urban babies go to farmers' markets . . .

Alicia visits Max and his daddies. So much has happened in the last 2 and a half months!

Alicia visits us in New York and can't believe how Max has grown. We had a wonderful weekend -- dinner with Katie and Charlie, a walk across the Brooklyn Bridge, and time with great friends.

Max's first trip of many to the candy store on Fire Island. He charged it. Love that rolling credit Meme and Poupon. Yumm!

Max at the Met

Max peed on me in the Petrie Court cafe during our first visit to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, not realizing that behavior is more appropriate for the MoMA. I had to change him on the floor of a handicapped stall in the men's bathroom. But he rolled with it.
